Berrow Annual Meeting and Christmas Dinner
The annual meeting of the Berrow Society (General Assembly) is held in Switzerland, usually on the last Friday before Christmas so as to enable current scholars to attend. The meeting is followed by a Christmas dinner, providing an excellent opportunity for past and present Berrow Scholars to meet, remain in contact and gossip. Details about the meeting's agenda as well as the location of the Christmas dinner are circulated to each members by the president, usually in the current of November. Typical venues for the Annual Meeting and Christmas Dinner include Berne, Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel and Yverdon-les-Bains. The 2020 and 2021 Christmas Dinners were canceled because of COVID. The next Christmas Dinner will take place in Lausanne on December 16th! Berrow Society Dinners in Oxford
Since 2012, Berrow Scholars have gathered together once a year in Oxford. These dinners were initiated with the idea of brining together old and new Berrow scholars, allowing the former to return back to the City of Dreaming Spires and to maintain a close relationship with Lincoln College, where the gatherings are usually held.
